PADRES offers an array of educational opportunities for families to learn how to manage their child’s treatment. Programs include: educational sessions, health education kits, community learning sessions, HOPE Fair, and blood and bone marrow drives.
A cancer diagnosis not only affects the family emotionally, but financially as well. PADRES offers a variety of services and resources to help families minimize the financial burdens they encounter while their child is undergoing treatment.
Our program brings parents together and builds a network of psychological support that assists each family member in coping with the childhood cancer diagnosis and its treatment. Expert case managemnt, parent alumni programs, intervention counseling, and bereavement assistance services are avaialble to families.
PADRES hosts a variety of annual holiday celebrations and special events that benefit the entire family throughout the year. Our events offer patients and their family members an opportunity to come together to enjoy a fun-filled day in an emotionally safe and joyous environment.
