Keven Ramirez

A Los Angeles Native, Ramirez studied Media and Communications in Colima, Mexico. His career began in 2001 as a host, presenter, radio and television emcee and fashion model.

In 2002 Ramirez launched his career in broadcast, when he joined the promotions team for the LA Radio Station 107.1 FM SUPER ESTRELLA. In 2004, he became an on-air personality with the station where he can be found Monday through Sunday from 10am to 3pm.

In his spare time, Ramirez enjoys running and can be found along the mountain paths of Los Angeles. He took up running after his friend’s father passed away due to a heart condition. As a result, Ramirez ran the 2010 Los Angeles Marathon in honor of his friend’s father. It was at that moment in his life that prompted him to utilize his passion for running, in order to raise awareness for PADRES Contra El Cáncer, an organization committed to improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families. Since then, he has organized fund development and awareness campaigns for PADRES around several events, which include the Rock & Roll Las Vegas Marathon, Rock & Roll Los Angeles ½ Marathon and PADRES 2010 & 2011 Stand for Hope 5K Run/Walk. Ramirez was able to utilize Social Media outlets to mobilize and encourage young adults to donate to the organization.

Ramirez became a PADRES Ambassador in January 2011. “Becoming a part of an organization that lends support to children and families dealing with such a terrible disease was very important to me, said Ramirez. “The more I saw first-hand how instrumental they are in helping families cope, the more I realized that PADRES was the perfect fit for me and I am grateful for the opportunity.”

Ramirez has been recognized as, “Locutor Mas Bello de California” (Best Looking Radio Host in California) by Premios Libertad. In addition, he was nominated as “Mejor Locutor Pop” (Best Pop Radio Host) by the Monitor Latino Awards in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Ramirez has also accomplished crossing over to the small screen, starring in several TV shows and music videos. He starred in LATV’s En La Zona, Rockstar Super Estrella and the new musical court show, La Lista Super Estrella. Ramirez has starred as the principal model in music videos for artists such as, La Banda El Recodo, Horoscopos de Durango, Wendolee, Fabilola Denisse, Carmah, and Leonel Miguez.

Ramirez’s role as a radio personality is not one he takes lightly. He knows the responsibility it holds to give back to the community and serve as a positive role model for teens and young adults. “I want to use my position to teach and motivate youth to give back; to make a difference in their communities,” said Ramirez.

When asked what the most rewarding aspect of his career is he said, “The ability to speak to the masses, the interaction with people and constantly meeting new people. I wake up looking forward to going to work,” said Ramirez.

Ramirez is used to speaking to the masses via his radio show or special events. On the other hand, if he had a youth in front of him, he’d have these words for him/her:  “Do not let anything or anyone get in your way of fulfilling your dream.  There will always be obstacles and envious people getting in your way; don’t ever allow them to stop you from obtaining what is yours.”
