Our Programs

Due to language and cultural barriers, Latino parents typically understand 50 percent less than non-Latino families about childhood cancer and effective methods for its treatment.

PADRES currently remains the only Latino program of its kind in the United States; the only program focused on addressing the needs of the entire family.

Our programs, activities and services play a critical role in the patient’s chances for recovery because we assist the family in overcoming barriers that interfere with strict adherence to the recommended treatment regimen, we have developed and perfected our program model over many years and have observed its profound impact on the lives of our participants.

Today, PADRES remains committed to expanding the scope of our program and reaching more Latino families who can directly benefit from our assistance, counsel and emotional support.
